The carriage is growing in splendor and the stage is sounding with the echoes of rehearsal. On the evenings of June 8th and June 9th, our cast and crew gathered beneath the twinkling lights of rehearsal to run through the entire first act of this enchanting tale. Oh, the energy! The discoveries! The sparkle in every step!
Thanks to my magical assistant, new costume photos fluttered into my enchanted inbox this very morning – and I must tell you, dear ones, the finery and flair of this production are growing more splendid by the day.
Lords, Ladies, and Townsfolk: Cinderella’s World in Costume
As they’ve been stepping through the fairy tale, the cast have been bringing out their costumes to practice their scene changes.
Bobby Geno dons the bright blue livery of stately charm. As a Knight, in armor and with sword at his side, he joins the gallant ranks of Topher’s guard. As a Lord at the Ball, he cuts the figure upon the dance floor.
Madison Weiske’s costumes reflect the dual life of this tale’s enchanted world. As a Lady at the Ball, Madison is swathed in luxurious pink fabric and a vision of courtly sophistication. As a Townsperson in a floral bodice and cream dress, she will breathe life into the village scenes as she dances across the stage.
And last but certainly not least, three more delightful glimpses arrived in the form of Townsperson costumes for Denise Truscott, Marina Castilho, and Sarah Tewolde. Each outfit carries its own distinct charm that hint at the unique personality of each villager. Still to come are the Lady at the Ball outfits for Denise and Sarah (and more!)
✨ What Magic Awaits: Sixteen Days to Curtain! ✨
And so, my dears, we stand but sixteen days from the grand premiere! Each passing rehearsal adds another layer of polish and joy to this marvelous production.
In the coming days, the cast will continue refining both acts, sewing the story together with music, dance, and heart. And soon – very soon! – the entire tapestry of Cinderella will gleam for all of Tupelo to behold. To help you pass the time, I am delighted to introduce the Costume Page, where I will post all of the delightful costumes worn by cast members as they find their way to my inbox.
Until then, I shall be gathering tales and tidings to share with you in our next post. Keep dreaming and keep believing, dear ones.
With love and stardust,
