Choreography Sneak Peek - Ten Minutes Ago
Watching the cast move with such grace and elegance filled my heart to bursting! As each step was danced, as every swirl and turn unfolded, it was clear our cast is embracing the spirit of enchantment, bringing every romantic note and lyric to vibrant life. Trust me when I say, this magical moment is sure to captivate all who witness it.
Rehearsal Updates - A Fairytale Union Rehearsed
This past Sunday, under the watchful eyes of our creative court, the cast devoted their energy to two crucial moments in the Cinderella’s tale: “Me, Who Am I,” the Prince’s earnest self-inquiry, and “The Wedding,” where love, destiny, and a touch of fairy magic join in holy matrimony.

Our noble ensemble of knights graced the stage first, learning the choreography and perfecting their harmonies for the stirring “Me, Who Am I.” Oh, how my heart fluttered to hear those deep, resonant notes echo through the Lyric Theatre!

But as lovely as that was, an even more magical scene was waiting to be practiced – “The Wedding.” Ah, weddings! Is there anything more delightful? The full cast gathered around, filling the space with celebratory energy as our noble-hearted Prince Topher and the ever-hopeful Cinderella join in marriage.
Of course, behind every magical performance is meticulous planning and precise execution.
A Note From The Director
In this snippet, we captured director Lisa Martin sharing vital insights on entrances and character portrayals. Entrances are key, darlings! Even the smallest detail contributes to the overall magic and wonder. After all, how else does one make a proper first impression at a ball, or even in a humble cottage?
Royal Innovations: Comfort Amid Elegance
And speaking of attention to detail, allow me to enchant you further with an ingenious behind-the-scenes innovation.

Feast your eyes on none other than Kevin Steele, my magical assistant and a Noble Lord at the ball. Pictured here in his work-in-progress Lord outfit, he stands tall in navy and gold, ruffled in lace as any royal might demand. But ah – let’s look closer! Beneath that courtly exterior lies a dazzling and functional secret.
In preparation for the summer heat of a Mississippi stage, Kevin has ingeniously built hidden ice packs into his underlayer garments! Nestled snugly along his sides and back, these chill-filled pouches are stitched into the shirt providing sweet, invisible relief as he bows and bustles through the ball.
